SM Cinema Confirms Local Release Of LUPIN III!
Lupin fans, rejoice. It has finally been confirmed that Lupin III’s live-action adaptation will soon hit local shores.
Announced by SM Cinema just today on their Facebook page, they have teased that the said movie will indeed get a local screening, followed by an artwork depicting silhouettes of its three protagonists – Lupin The 3rd, Daisuke Jigen, and Goemon Ishikawa. No dates were given yet, but expect to see more updates coming from SM in the coming weeks.
The movie stars Shun Oguri in the titular role, whereas Tetsuji Tamayama, Go Ayano, Meisa Kuroki, and Tadanobu Asano will be playing the roles of Jigen, Goemon, Fujiko Mine, and Inspector Zenigata respectively.
Lupin III will be released on Japan August 30. Here’s the trailer:
