OFFICIAL: RUROUNI KENSHIN Stars, Director To Grace Manila For A Red Carpet Event!
The Rurouni Kenshin fever continues, as Warner Bros. Philippines formally announces that three of the said franchise’s cast members, as well as director Keishi Otomo will be flying to Manila soon for a special red carpet premiere of Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno.
The invitational premiere event will take place this coming August 6 at SM Megamall, with Takeru Satoh, Emi Takei and Munetaka Aoki in attendance alongside Otomo. They will be participating as well in a press conference the next day at Glorietta to interact with fans and media personnel alike.
This was jointly announced by Warner Entertainment Japan representative William Ireton and Warner Bros. Philippines General Director Francis Soliven. “We are thrilled to bring director Keishi Otomo and castmembers Takeru Satoh, Emi Takei and Munetaka Aoki to Manila so they can personally thank and engage with the loyal fans of `Rurouni Kenshin.’ The Philippines is a very important market for the franchise as proven by the outstanding box-office success in Manila of the first `Rurouni Kenshin’ film in 2013.” , Ireton stated in the press release.
Furthermore, Soliven adds that our local moviegoers have helped create a a new wave of anticipation and excitement to the long-running franchise, and as such, would like to give back to the fans through the two-day event.
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno will be hitting theaters August 20, followed by The Legend Ends in September 24. Here’s the joint trailer for the two-part finale:
