It was recently announced that the new Kinect 2.0 will be bundled with Microsoft‘s new next-gen console Xbox One. But it has also been reported that Kinect 2.0 won’t be an Xbox exclusive like it’s predecessor and Microsoft plans to also make it available to PC! Although the first Kinect was already being used by enthusiasts for the PC in the past, we’re sure that Kinect 2.0 will be a different experience. Some of the features of Kinect 2.0 are

• Can detect user’s heart rate by examining the skin color and trasparency.
• Can keep track of different player profiles by linking them to a specific controller. This means even if players swap controller, Xbox One will be able to recognize which profile is the new Player one.
• 1080p RGB camera.
• 60% better field of view.

The first teaser trailer for the new Batman videogame — Batman: Arkham Origins is now out!!! It shows  a short battle between Batman and Deathstroke! The game will feature the debut of Deathstroke and Alberto Falcone, and the return of characters like Penguin and Alfred Pennyworth. Let’s hope the game turns out to be great like its predecessors Arkham Asylum and Arkham City!

The Joker has not yet been confirmed to appear and Mark Hammil is said to be not involved with the game. Long time, fan favorite Kevin Conroy is not slated to voice Batman in the new game and will opt for another actor to voice a younger Batman.

Batman: Arkham Origins is set to be released on October 2013, for Xbox, Playstation, Wii U and PC.

Earlier at the Game Developers Conference 2013 (GDC13), known MGS developer Hideo Kojima revealed that the new METAL GEAR SOLID V is made up of Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, but will be actually called ‘MGS V: The Phantom Pain‘. According to Kojima, The Phantom Pain is an open-world game — “The tutorial itself is a sequence where Snake wakes up from a coma after nine years.” Long time voice-actor David Hayter is not involved in the project, and his replacement has not yet been announced.

If you’re not yet done shouting FUS RO DAH on your enemies, and you’re still having fun playing with the past DLCs – Hearthfire (yay, raise a family!) and Dawnguard (Vampires ..hssss). Rejoice, warrior!! For another DLC has come — DRAGONBORN .

The third dlc, will focus on the return of the first Dragonborn — the Dragonbeast, and it’s most likely that you have to face him.

If you’ve already watched the trailer (below) a lot of things are suggested and some quite obvious. First there seems to be more types of weaponry and armor, and the most exciting one is the dragonmount – the ability to ride a dragon! And it looks contrcollable. Since the dlc is about dragons and dragonborns, it is possible that we might get new shouts aside too.

The only sad news about it though, the DRAGONBORN dlc is for XBOX 360, and no solid news on a PC and PS3 release yet. So what’s next for us? I think it’s time for a a Game of the Year edition containing all DLCs and add-ons

The next basketball game from the NBA 2k series  is arriving soon! Scheduled for an October 2, 2012 release,  NBA 2k13 is one of the most anticipated games here in the Philippines, since Basketball is close to almost every Filipino’s heart.

NBA 2k13 features three athletes on their cover, namely – Blake Griffin (LA Clippers), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls). Interestingly, Jay-Z ,an American rapper, songwriter and record producer is the executive producer of the game – in which he worked on the overall look and feel of the game as well as, of course, it’s soundtrack! Jay-Z is also a part owner of the Brooklyn Nets (formerly New Jersey Nets).

The new game is reported to feature the complete lineup of the original 1992 DREAM TEAM, new controls, options to design your own shoes and send them to  NikeID, and my most favorite part — ALLEN IVERSON is BACK. Yes, he’s finally back in the roster and since he is the original cover athlete for the NBA 2K series, it’s only fitting that he’s finally back in the game. Hopefully they got his signature moves, gesture to the fans right.

Word on the street is that this new game will be a prologue to the much talked about “Metal Gear Solid 5” from Konami…

Additional fan rumors suggest that the new game will span decades and that it will be a story featuring the first Big Boss clone, Solidus Snake (who later became the bad guy for MGS2: Sons of Liberty)

The good news is that its still going to be Hideo Kojima who would be helming this new game which in all honesty remains a mystery regardless of the intro/prologue trailer. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zero features a new game engine they used called the FOX ENGINE, in which they say it can be used by future Konami games and even next-gen platforms. MGS: Ground Zerous is said to be available for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Let’s wait and see as developments and news rolls out.

METRO: LAST LIGHT (formerly known as Metro 2034), the sequel to METRO 2033 – a videogame based on the novel Metro 2033 by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky is set to give us an apocalyptic survival horror first-person action game in 2013!

Variety has reported that Michael Fassbender (300, Prometheus, X-Men: First Class, Inglorious Basterds) will star and also co-produce (through his DMC film banner) a movie adaptation based on Ubisoft’s biggest videogame frachise – Assassin’s Creed. The AC series has sold more than 30 million copies which includes titles like — Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. By October we’ll be seeing a new assassin come into the series in Assassin’s Creed III.

Whether the main plot of the adaption be close to what the videogame series has offered, it’s still a mystery because a lot might still change. But for sure it would involve the war between the Templars and the Assassins. If the movie will feature one of the 3 Assassins from the the game, which one do you think Fassbender will be fit to play? — Altair ? Ezio or Connor?

Expected by a lot of fans since hints of possible new content were coming, players now have a good reason to return to Arkham City, as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Rocksteady Studios gear up to release a new DLC adventure called “Harley Quinn’s Revenge” for Batman: Arkham City! The new content picks up right after the final events of the game, and players will guide Batman and Robin in stopping The Joker’s crazed girlfriend from unleashing her mad scheme. A Game Of The Year Edition for the game was also announced, and will feature all the DLC content in the package for a very reasonable price.
