Designer Toy Alert! JT Studio’s GITD and DIY Yox

Jei Tseng, designer and founder of J.T Studio in Taiwan, has been one of those artists to watch in the sofubi scene. Back in April he debuted his work Yox, which resemble a fox, and this work has been sought after ever since. Yox is the ‘guardian of dreams, and legend has it that it comes in different colors, with different powers for every color.’ First versions came in colorways such as red and white, and yellow and white. There was also an exclusive Yox in black and gold. The packaging is amazing, the string bag (for the figure) is amazing, and much more  is the figure. Now, two more versions will be available worldwide — the Blue Glow in the Dark Yox GID version, and the Yox DIY version. Here are the photos:

Both will be available on their site starting Friday, August 18, 10AM Taiwan time. They are 11cm tall. Yox starts shipping this August, and both versions will have a price tag of 65 USD, free of shipping. Yox GID version is limited to 50 pieces worldwide, while Yox DIY version is limited to 100 pieces.

‘Sofubi’ means soft vinyl in Japanese, and sofubi toys are made of clear soft vinyl. These kinds of figures are considered as designer or art toys, and are sought after by art and toy collectors. J.T. Studio’s Yox figures definitely fit the description. I mean, who would not look for these? You get to own a very detailed figure, and a limited piece of art as well! They’re absolutely amazing, and would look wonderful in any display!
