STAR WARS Goes to JAPAN! BANDAI JAPAN Gets STAR WARS LICENSE!
Star Wars fans would be delighted to know that there would be a new set of Star Wars action figures coming. While fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Star Wars:Episode VII, Toy manufacturer Bandai got the license to produce the next line Star Wars toys. With the recent release of Star Wars: Black action figures, fans are sure in for a treat as they’d be able to add fully articulated and poseable Star Wars action figures to their collection.
Fresh off the 2014 Tokyo Toy Show, Bandai has officially unveiled their next set of Star Wars toys. Among the figures on display were SH Figuarts Darth Vader, SH Figuarts Storm Trooper, 1/48 Scale X-Wing, Darth Vader and Stormtrooper Converge Minifigures, Death Star Space Warp, 1/12 Scale Model Kit – C-3PO, 1/12 Scale Darth Vader Model Kit, Star Wars Picture Mini Bust Collection, and Star Wars Transforming Egg Figures. One figure who particularly gained interest was the Movie Realization Samurai Darth Vader statue. I was just blown away upon seeing the picture of Darth Vader in full samurai gear with a katana light saber! Who knows we may soon see other Japanese inspired Star Wars action figures.
No final details were provided regarding the release of Bandai’s Star Wars toy line. Some of the figures are going to be release late 2014 while others are on exhibit and is still waiting licensor’s approval.
