The Shrinking Man #2, by Ted Adams and Mark Torres, continues the success that was delivered in the first issue with only a slight change-up in the story pattern.
The story kicks off with how the first issue ended with Scott’s main struggle of getting crackers only to find out that it’s ruined by the basement’s water. Once again Ted Adams’ writing here is good especially with how much suspense the story has. What’s different in this second issue is that most of the suspense is more focused on the parts before Scott’s completely shrunken state.
Mark Torres’ art once again delivers as well on how his characters blend well with the stressful tone of the story as well as Tomi Varga’s coloring also complimenting Torres’ work again though in some panels Torres’ use of inking somehow didn’t seem to match the scenario.
Overall, The Shrinking Man #2 greatly continues the success by giving this issue a similar story pattern to the first but focuses more on Scott’s journey to becoming completely shrunken this time around.
