To sum it all up..

There is not much happening in this issue aside from our heroes trying to save everyone from killer drones though if you’re a fan of Ninjak then you might be in for a treat.

Unity #11

The story continues on with our heroes defending the earth from the Armor Hunters. This particular issue focuses on Ninjak, Gilad, and Livewire as they try to shut down an army of alien drones that’s trying to destroy Los Angeles.

There is not much happening in this issue aside from our heroes trying to save everyone from killer drones though if you’re a fan of Ninjak then you might be in for a treat. It might not be an origin story of Ninjak that is included in this issue, but flashbacks on where he got most of his technological weaponry that he uses to defeat the drones. Some of which he got 10 years before the current story arc. Now that I think about it, Ninjak kind of reminds me of Batman.

It is a great issue if you ask me. Not too story heavy but still enjoyable. More of a breather before things get serious. Ninjak’s playful banter with Gilad also helped keep it light. The focus on Livewire, Ninjak, and Gilad was also a nice touch. It gave the characters more depth and it showed that they are worthy of their own stories.

Stephen Segovia‘s art never fails to express what needs to be shown by the scenes. I like how he goes on with the details on his drawings with going over board.  I also love how Matt Kindt progressed with this issue. You could say that this might be a filler issue, but it sure is a good one. There was no sense of the story being short but it didn’t become a boring read.
