While Lex Luthor tries to save Bizarro from death, Red Hood and Artemis took their relationship to another level as they tell each other relevant stories in their past. Red Hood and the Outlaws #13 provides for a deeper foundation of the relationship between the three unconventional heroes.

Dex Soy’s interior work is amazing and it stood out the moment I flipped to read the first page. I had to look twice at the names of the creative team in order to make sure that it was him who drew the pages. Red Hood and the Outlaws #13 did not only prove that Dex Soy is one of the best artist in the industry, but it also proved that Dex can do different styles of art.

REDHOTO_4

I am also impressed with Scott Lobdell’s writing. He was able to portray the protagonists’ meaning and purpose in becoming heroes in their own right. I just love how Lobdell implies that through their individual struggles, they found a family where they belong.

Red Hood, Bizarro, and Artemis finally found their place in the world. While Bizzaro was allegedly “cured” by Lex Luthor, I am very much interested to find out where Lobdell and Soy are going to take this story. The development of the cognitive skills of Bizarro adds another layer of Luthor’s involvement in the grand scheme of things. I really love this book. I can’t wait for the next installment of Red Hood and the Outlaws!
