21875513_10155665831289035_737533969_oAfter escaping The Riddler’s Labyrinth, Damian Wayne bumps into Nightwing. Faced with another challenge, Dick and Damian must work together to defeat Mr. Freeze in his own circle of hell—or should we say, Freeze’s fortress of ice.

NIGHTWING #29‘s story is slow-paced and the meat of it all is at the end of the book where Dick explains how he got there. It provides an interesting angle in the Metal storyline but they make his character convenient to develop the story. “Winter is Here” focuses more on Nightwing, as opposed to the last tie-in which gave Damian Wayne his own spotlight.

One thing I like about the book is the art of Paul Pelletier. Adriano Lucas’ colors also complimented Pelletier’s line art making the panels bold and dynamic. Do I think the book is worth buying? My answer is a qualified yes. If you have some money to burn, go for it. Stjepan Sejic’s cover art is already worth the cover price. But if you’re on a budget but would like to complete the entire Metal story, I suggest you wait for the omnibus version or to wait for Nightwing #29 in the comic book bins.
