MUERTOS 2014: Costumes that owned the Night!

Muertos_Costumes1

As Flipgeeks celebrated a “Day of the Dead”-inspired Halloween last Friday, October 31, at the UP Artists’ Circle Sorority and UP College of Fine Arts’ event MUERTOS 2014: A Hallow’s Eve Party, we couldn’t help but notice the abundance of creative, artistic, and well-crafted costumes adorning the collegiate partygoers.

One of the main contests of the night was the costume contest, which awarded the best costumes in the Individual, Pair, and Group categories. Awards for “Best Novelty” and “Best Makeup” were also given by the organizers. Check out the students’ award-winning costumes below!

Unfortunately, the pair contest winner’s “Corpse Bride” partner had to go home early. But hey, at least they won!

But it wasn’t just the award winners that paraded some amazing costumes at MUERTOS 2014 – it seemed like all of the students went all out in making their Halloween costumes! Here are some of the many unique get-ups we were lucky enough to spot that night!
