Blizzard Reveals New Draenei Models for WARLORDS OF DRAENOR!
Blizzard Entertainment has released yet another teaser for the upcoming World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion, this time featuring the updated character models for the male Draenei.
Warlords of Draenor will introduce some major changes to the almost 10-year-old MMO, including a major graphics overhaul and character redesigns for all pre-Cataclysm races. The new Draenei model has had a pretty subtle redesign compared to some of the other races – one of the most noticeable changes being the more prominent head ridges.
According to World of Warcraft Art Director Chris Robinson, the original design was one of the game’s better character models, so it didn’t require any major changes. “With higher-resolution textures and more polygons to work with, we were able to bump up his fidelity quite a bit, as well as improve how we convey emotion through a new animation rig,” he said.
Blizzard has slowly been teasing photos of the newly-remodeled races, with animated versions already available for the Orcs, Tauren, Gnomes, and Dwarves on the Warlords of Draenor website.
