JOLLIBEE to Appear in TEKKEN?!
Fight like a butterfly sting like a Jollibee?
Jollibee, the country’s most famous fast food chain is gaining online popularity these past few days. Not that it needs it but recently different news has been going around online about the fast food chain. Jollibee has already gained popularity internationally and has appealed even to non-Filipinos. Even game producer and Tekken Creator Katshuhiro Harada seems to be a fan of our beloved fast food chain that he’d consider including Jollibee in the next Tekken series.
The news started when a fan (@KunehoKun) tweeted Katshuhiro Harada (@Harada_TEKKEN) to which Mr. Harada replied with this tweet:
In case you didn’t know, Katsuhiro Harada had already featured the Philippines in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. One of the stages, Coastline Sunset is set in the country with jeepneys and tricycles that can be seen in the background.
Though nothing has been confirmed as of this time or if this is just a mere fan-service its still nice to know that Katshuhiro Harada would even consider adding our beloved Jollibee to his roster of Tekken Fighters. If this pushes through, Jollibee would only be the second Filipino (that I know of) to appear in a video game after Manny Pacquiao appeared in EA Sport’s Fight Night series. The Philippines had been previously featured in other video games like Crysis and Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
