Game remakes seems to be the next big thing nowadays. The news alone makes fans go crazy and new gamers curious. Among the titles that is heading towards having a remake is Metal Gear Solid (MGS).

If you grew up having a Playstation One, most likely you’ve played MGS. It was such a huge hit even is Solid Snake was nothing more but a polygon shaded soldier. MGS was a groundbreaking for the Playstation One and every console made after, there was a Metal Gear game released in it.

Now, more that a decade after the original game was released, Metal Gear fan Airam Hernandez is leading the way to bring Solid Snake back to life. Airam is recreating the full Metal Gear Solid from the Playstation One to the PC with the help of Unreal Engine 4.

Helping Airam is Dan Meadowcroft, who is currently working on the game’s music. The online trailer for this Metal Gear remake project was just released and is titled Shadow Moses.

Since this is technically a fan-made project, there’s a BIG possibility that Shadow Moses might not even see the light of day. For one, game developing is not an easy feat, developers need to consider the time and the cost to make the full game. Second, Metal Gear Solid is a licensed material and so far, Konami hasn’t issued their reaction to this fan-made remake.

As always, fans like us, always hope that ideas/games such as these see the light of day. A lot of gamers today would surely be delighted to play a game that had already become a part of their childhood.
