MODERN COMBAT 5 Debuts On Android, iOS, And Windows Phone!

Modern Combat 5

Modern Combat 5: Blackout, Gameloft’s latest addition to its flagship Modern Combat shooter series, is now available on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone devices! The game was made downloadable for $8.99 from the App Store and $6.99 from Google Play and Windows stores last Thursday, July 24.

Set in the scenic cities of Venice, Italy and Tokyo, Japan, the shooter will have players carry out special operations by stalking around levels and taking out enemies using various military weapons. Players can choose from four character classes – heavy, recon, assault and sniper – and customize them with class-specific skills by earning skill points as the game progresses.

Aside from its improved graphics and new single player features, the game also features a unified progression system which integrates single and multiplayer modes into one cohesive gaming experience. The new system allows players to gain experience points for leveling up classes and mastering new weapons regardless of what game mode they are playing.

Players can compete globally with friends and other members of the Modern Combat 5 community through the multiplayer mode’s high powered six-on-six matchups.

The single player campaign, on the other hand, features fast-paced storylines and introduces new tricks like sniper bullet control, scanning drone, and revive. It also includes all new Spec-Ops missions that require the player to fulfill certain objectives such as “cover your allies”, “clear the room”, and “eliminate the target”.

Gameloft also upgraded the game in terms of visual effects, adding elaborate real-time shadows, ragdoll physics, dynamic lighting, soft particles, and high-resolution textures. The FPS also features interactive cut scenes and camera positions that react to in-game actions.

Modern Combat 5: Blackout runs on devices using Android 4.0 Jelly Bean OS or later, while on Apple devices it runs on iPad, iPhone or iPod touch devices with iOS 7.0 and later. For Windows Phone devices, the game only runs on WP8 and WP8.1 OS.
