RAVE — Just finished playing Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, and…

— So I just finished playing Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, and it really felt great playing another AC game! Gameplay and graphics was the best I’ve seen in the franchise. They introduced a lot of stuff like – the hookblade, ziplines, a better eagle sense, etc.. Although its not as good as how AC 2 turned out, Revelations still came out good, and for me its because of the story.

Revelations somehow felt short on the things they introduced, nakaka-bitin – the rooftop battle system, the use of bombs (lalo na for mini-map missions), etc. But lets go back to what I’m raving about – What I really did love about the game was because it had more Altair in it!  Like the title implies, the game really did have a lot of relevations. It showed more Altair, more of his struggles, his part in the Assassin order. Meanwhile the game also explores the some untold details about Desmond’s childhood and life through these so-called “Desmond’s Journey” in the animus island. Ezio returns in Revelations as the main protagonist, now older and wiser, and much more badass. Ever since AC2 and AC: Brotherhood, I have followed Ezio’s journey from being a teenager to an assassin and to a mentor and master assassin, and of course his struggle in the life that chose him. And the end of Revelations was very satisfying knowing that it has ended the stories of Ezio and Altair. But most of all, it showed how Altair’s fate intertwined with Ezio and ultimately to Desmond.  And I know that this franchise is going to be stretched and we might soon encounter new Assassins, I’m still very happy that we had great characters like Ezio and Altair, and of course, more Assassins Creed games — and im still crossing my fingers that we finally get to see Desmond finally showing his potential and the skills he garnered through the bleeding effect!

Oh yeah, on a final note, Revelations did not really fully show the end of Ezio’s story (unlike Altair’s, which was shown in the game), but we can still know more about his final days in the animated short — Assassin’s Creed: Embers.
