RAZER Reveals Xbox One Arcade Fighting Stick At EVO 2014
Gaming company Razer unveiled its new Xbox One Razer Atrox Arcade Stick last Saturday at the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2014 fighting game tournament. The console controller is set to hit stores in August for $200 USD.
Built specifically with tournament-grade gaming in mind, the Xbox One peripheral will feature eight Sanwa Denshi buttons and a Sanwa ball top joystick in an authentic arcade layout. Razer also highlighted customization in the Atrox controller’s design, allowing players to easily modify its components to suit individual tastes and play styles.
The controller’s internal storage opens with a touch of a button, revealing dedicated slots to house the included alternate bat-top joystick, detachable USB cable, and bundled screwdriver.
According to Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan, the company designed the arcade fighting stick based on the same principles that made its predecessor, the Xbox 360 Razer Atrox, highly successful within the fighting game community.
“Professional gaming is growing rapidly into a global phenomenon, and gear like the Razer Atrox Arcade Stick for Xbox One will help fighting game players everywhere dominate the opposition in style, match after match,” he said.
Razer also partnered with Microsoft to create a limited edition faceplate for Killer Instinct, the Xbox One’s exclusive launch title, which the company showcased at EVO 2014.
