UNCHARTED Lead Writer And Creative Director Leaves Naughty Dog

IGN has reported that the lead writer and creative directo for the Uncharted series, Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog. There were rumors that she was ‘forced out’ of the company by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, but their site has already released a statement confirming her departure.

Naughty Dog also says that the development timeline of Uncharted will not be affected because of her departure. Hennig undoubtedly is a huge factor on the success of the Uncharted series, especially with regards to the character development in the game. On a side note, Hennig did not work on Naughty Dog’s latest success – The Last Of Us, which similarly had great reviews but had lower sales than Uncharted.

Do you guys think that without Hennig, the Uncharted series will be different? Or is it just about time for someone to handle the Uncharted series? Let us know your thoughts!
