Urban Legend: Grand Theft Auto V Slated for a 2012 Release?

L.A. Noire critical, mixed reviews from gaming’s elites and pretenders. L.A. Noire is the first of its kind, making use of the MotionScan face capture technology which allows players to determine whether they are being sucker punched by suspects under the crunching glare of Cole Phelps.

Team Bondi, the developer behind L.A. Noire, has allegedly been removed from Rockstar’s checklist of supported studios due to the fact that Rockstar had to intervene during L.A. Noire turtle-paced development under the failed leadership and questionable management of Team Bondi’s co-founder, Brendan McNamara.

On asked whether Rockstar will use the MotionScan face capture technology for future games, including a future Grand Theft Auto V release, McNamara positively commented that “Rockstar has the liberty to infuse MotionScan in any of its upcoming titles.”

Speaking of Grand Theft Auto V, Guyism has publicly opened discussions of a possible GTA V development, which, according to the web site, is coming sooner than you think. This is big news considering that Rockstar, after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV in 2008, has committed to focus more on other projects that do not involve bulldozing elderly people with a Blista Compact or crashing helicopters just to take a sneak peek of what Lady Liberty is hiding from us.

If Rockstar is indeed working on Grand Theft Auto V, Flip Geeks will be drafting its wishlist in response to Rockstar’s latest attempt to spit on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘Terminator’ law to thwart the sales and rentals of violent video games to minors.
