A Food Trip Along The Maginhawa Strip: A Flipgeeks Report of the 1st Quezon City Food Festival!

As part of the activities commemorating Quezon City’s 75th anniversary, the office of Fourth District House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. organized its first ever Quezon City Food Festival along one of its own foodie “hotspots”, Maginhawa Street. The event took place on October 11, from 9 AM to 12 midnight, and also featured an Oktoberfest concert sponsored by San Miguel Beer.

That the event was quite a success event though it was the first of its kind came as no surprise, really. We Filipinos love to eat, love to chat while eating and love to go on “food trips”. For one whole Saturday, the entire Maginhawa drag was one long open-air buffet of gastronomic goodness.

Friuli Trattoria, which serves great pizza. It’s also named after a region in northeastern Italy which is famous for its white wines and sausages.

Growing up, my telenovelas were not "Anna Lisa" and "Gulong ng Palad" but "Daimos" and "Voltes V". And let's not forget "Candy Candy".
