MARVEL’S LUKE CAGE Renewed for Season 2

Sweet Christmas! Marvel and Netflix have announced plans for a second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage.

The official Twitter account of the show made the announcement with a short video showing Pop’s Barber Shop, zooming in on a neon sign that says “season 2 coming soon.” No premiere date has been revealed, however.

Marvel’s Netflix line up for 2017 is already booked with Iron Fist, which debuts in February, and the team-up series The Defenders, currently in production. So expect the second season of Luke Cage to be released much later than that.

Starring Mike Colter, Mahershala Ali, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Rosario Dawson and Alfre Woodard, the first season of Marvel’s Luke Cage is available now on Netflix.
