After Two Years, Ang Nawawala DVDs Are Almost Here!

Finally after waiting for two years and after multiple showings of the film in different venues here and abroad, Ang Nawawala is now ready to release its full glory into the DVD format. Now you might think why you should even get it? Are DVD’s still a thing? Here are some good reasons for you to leave your doubt some place else. Well for starters this “twin” disc set, named so since the main character has a twin, has a total of 4 hours of bonus materials. Beat that any-other-filipino-dvd-released-ever. Another reason to get the DVD is Tof Zapanta‘s art for the cover. Not only does the cover look good but it is also completely reversible. Another feature of the DVD is the remastered color correction by director of photography Ming Kai Leung.

The DVD will contain special features such as:

  • 3 Commentary Tracks
  • Deleted and Extended Scenes
  • Cast auditions
  • Behind the Scenes
  • The Film’s musical Score
  • Music Videos
  • And a whole lot more

Ang Nawawala, which was directed by Marie Jamora, won the “Audience Choice” award and the “Best Original Score” award from the Cinemalaya 2012. The price of the DVD is P899 and it will be released on November 30 which is Bonifacio day to honor Gibson Bonifacio, the film’s protagonist. Just like the release of the Ang Nawawalang Soundtrack Vinyl, the DVD would also have its own release party on December 21, 2014. Stay tuned to their Ang Nawawala DVD facebook page to get the latest updates and details on how to pre-order.
