Ben Affleck Says DC Movie Universe Will Be ‘MASSIVE’
Nowadays it seems that the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice buzz is getting silent because of certain upcoming movies like this December’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and next year’s Captain America: Civil War. BvS is scheduled to release on March 2016, and it is possible that we would see a new teaser/trailer this christmas season. But before that happens, Ben Affleck, who will be playing as ‘Batman’ in the DC movie universe, had something to say about Warner Bros and the DC Comics IP.
“They are now developing … probably the single greatest under-exploited IP asset in the entertainment business, the DC comic world. And now they have started to exploit that and you are going to see that blossom. And, when it does, it’s going to be massive.”, Ben Affleck said.
Ben Affleck also credits Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara on WB’s direction with its DC comics property, “I was really impressed by that and by the intelligence of his notes,.. and the fact that he cared… He was willing to take longer to make the movie to get it right to make it a movie of higher quality.”
It looks like Warner Bros. is finally focusing on what the DCU can bring to them. In my opinion, they should’ve done it years ago with the Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) movie. But, now it really seems that they have a big plan for the DC movie universe! Let’s just cross our fingers that Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is the real deal.
