Continuing the current series’ trend on reintroducing classic elements of the Bond franchise, producers  Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccolo aptly reveal the official title of the next theatrical incarnation – SPECTRE.

For starters, SPECTRE, or SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, is a fictional terrorist organization heavily featured in the original Ian Fleming Bond novels, as well as the Connery and Moore films. As the name implies, they often act as a third party that secretly instigates conflicts all over the globe for their own gain.

The synopsis for the flick was released online while the event took place.

A cryptic message from an unlikely source sets James Bond navigating the layers of a sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. As M continues fighting political pressures that threaten the future of MI6, Bond draws closer to uncovering a hidden truth that threatens to destroy everything he has fought to protect.

Sam Mendes will return to helm the film, while John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade will be handling writing duties. It was also announced that principal photography will begin this Monday, December 8, and is expected to hit theaters on November 6, 2015.

A mix of new heroes, and villains

Apart from the filming details, Wilson eagerly told the press about the cast for Spectre. Like what the reports have stated during the past few months, Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomi Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Rory Kinner will reprise their roles as James Bond, M, Ms. Moneypenny, Q, and Bill Tanner respectively.

On the other hand, new additions for the growing cast include the following stars:

Bond gets a new ride

Of course, the reveal event won’t be complete without the revelation of Bond’s rides for the movie. Spectre will be debuting two, new vehicles – a variant of the Fiat 500, as well as the Aston Martin DB10.
