A New Empire Rises In New NARCOS Season 3 Trailer

The sneak peek for the anticipated Netflix series “Narcos” was released on Youtube last 3rd of August 2017. It introduced the rise to power of the Cali Cartel after the downfall of Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) and the difference of the four-headed organization to its ancestor.

The 3rd season of the drug cartel drama series will revolve around the search of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) headed by Agent Peña (Pedro Pascal) to the so-called Four Kings of Cali — Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela (Damian Alcazar), the head of the operation; Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela (Francisco Denis), brains behind the rise of the Cali Cartel and Gilberto’s brother; Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann), the hitman who also runs the Mexican connection and international distribution of cocaine and Chepe Santacruz Londono (Pepe Rapazote) who runs the New York empire of the Colombian drug network.

In contrast to the Medellin cartel, which focused on the hot sand beaches of Miami, Cali started their rise to power when they began their shipment to the Empire State of New York. And since Escobar was the headliner of the drug scene in United States, Cali took this opportunity to silently stack up their network without the attention of the US government. As the trailer went on Peña emphasized that “It was f*cking cocaine incorporated.” as it describes how the cartel combined the business procedures to the drug trade.

The trailer made the new villains sounds terrifying.

“To take down the gentlemen of Cali, you’d have to be crazy, stupid, brave, and lucky all at the same time.” Pedro Pascal’s voice loomed over the entirety of the sneak peek. It proves that despite the absence of Moura’s Escobar in the third instalment of the franchise, it will be as dark, vicious, and blood pumping as its predecessor.

With the death of Escobar, means the exit as well of Agent Murphy (Boyd Holbrook) as confirmed in the official cast in IMDB. Also, in the real events after the shooting of the drug kingpin, Agent Steve Murphy and his wife returned to the US.

There are also new players to the highly recommended show such as Jorge Salcedo (Matias Varela), DEA agents Chris Feistl (Michael Stahl-David) and Daniel Van Ness (Matt Whelan).

Narcos season 3 will be available on Netflix on September 1st.
