The Next DC Animated Feature: Superman vs The Elite
With the subsequent release of the DC animated feature “Justice League: Doom” would be a recent story in the form of Superman vs The Elite.
The story will be based on the story “What’s so funny about Truth, Justice and the American Way” which appeared in Action Comics # 775.
The Superman tale is considered by a lot of Superman fans as a modern classic which was written by Joe Kelly with art by Doug Mahnke (Green Lantern). It was DC Comics‘ answer to the rising trend of violent anti-heroes and more violent heroes who would rather kill their enemies than send them to jail (The Elite themselves seemed like a derivative of the Wildstorm universe’s The Authority).
No detail yet as to when this would come out but this is definitely going to be a good DVD to grab when it comes out.
