The first official trailer for the much-anticipated THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 has gone live on the official YouTube channel of Sony Pictures. Watch the trailer now:

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 follows the continuing adventures of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), the shy but brilliant young man who received fantastic powers after being bitten by a genetically modified spider. Two years have passed since the fateful events that shaped him into one of New York’s greatest heroes, and Peter is absolutely enjoying being Spider-Man. The wall-crawling wonder tries to balance a normal life with his superheroic career, drawing strength and support from the love of his life, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). In typical Parker fashion, though, his life is about to take a turn for the worse, with new enemies in the form of the shockingly powerful Electro (Jamie Foxx), the rampaging Rhino (Paul Giamatti), and a third, sinister foe who may prove to be the greatest challenge Spider-Man has ever faced…

Joining Garfield, Stone, Foxx, and Giamatti in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 are Dane Dehaan (Harry Osborn), Sally Field (Aunt May), and Chris Cooper (Norman Osborn). Directed by Mark Webb, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 swings into Philippine theaters on April 30, 2014.
