MARVEL Finally Unveils MCU PHASE 3!

Christmas has come early for Marvel fans! Earlier today, Marvel President Kevin Feige delivered a groundbreaking announcement in the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles regarding the future of Marvel Films, specifically, Phase III of its roster of films that is scheduled to be released in the next five years.

Feige went straight to the point and laid down his own infinity gauntlet, officially announcing the release of NINE movies and its release dates! Yes, you read it right, NINE huge movies that will all be part of Phase III in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! And they are as follows, in chronological order (I’m already getting major goosebumps):

Captain America: Civil War – May 6, 2016
Yes, this will be the official title of the third installment of Captain America’s movies. Based off the Civil War arc, Captain America and Iron Man are set to be at odds and against each other here, primarily because of the enactment of the Superhuman Registration Act.

Doctor Strange – November 4, 2016
The Sorcerer Supreme of Earth’s Realm will finally make his big screen debut! According to reports, Benedict Cumberbatch has been chosen by Marvel to portray Strange.

starlord
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 – May 5, 2017
Guardians 2 has been moved to an earlier date, from July to May.

Thor: Ragnarok – July 28, 2017
The end is nigh for Asgard. Can Thor stop the death of his beloved home? Also, Loki will return!

Black Panther – November 3, 2017
It was also announced earlier that Chadwick Boseman has been officially cast as the titular character.

Captain Marvel – July 6, 2018
According to sources, Carol Danvers, also known as Miss Marvel, is expected to be the lead in this movie, becoming the first female-led superhero film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Inhumans – November, 2, 2018
Set to be shown four years from now, Inhumans is also about a team of super-powered individuals just like the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. And this one weaves in alien technology and promises to show unique and utterly cool powers possessed by the titular heroes *cough* Black Bolt *cough*. Earlier reports also purport that Vin Diesel’s been booked to play a dual role for the MCU – that of GOTG’s Groot, as well as the Inhuman leader, Black Bolt.

Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II – May 2018 and 2019
Everything leads to this. What began with Iron Man last 2008 will finally come to a galaxy-shattering culmination in this two-part epic. Everything that the Marvel heroes has faced up to this point might not match up to the greatest threat looming in front of them: Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet.

Indeed, it is a very wonderful time to be a Marvel fan after hearing those announcements. And for those about to ask, “Is this the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers 3″ The answer is no. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will surely continue on. How? We’ll just have to wait and see! Meanwhile, here’s a teaser video for Avengers: Infinity War. Please excuse the shaky camera as this was recorded from a mobile phone during the big reveal. Nevertheless, it is still breathtaking! Excelsior!
