MARVEL MOVIE NEWS: Bryan Singer signs for X-Men sequel, Jamie Foxx as Electro for Amazing Spider-Man 2

BRYAN SINGER RETURNS TO X-MEN

Two Marvel news, broke out in the past few days concerning upcoming Marvel Movies like the new X-Men and Amazing Spider-Man sequels. The first news might not be good news for some people – Bryan Singer officially signs for the upcoming ‘Days of Future Past’, which is a sequel to X-Men: First Class. Bryan Singer replaces original First Class Director – Matthew Vaughn.

Bryan Singer in case you don’t know, directed and launched the X-Men movie franchise during 2000s with X-Men and it’s sequel X2: X-Men United. He also directed the latest Superman movie — Superman Returns, which undoubtedly received little love. If news reports are true about Singer signing in, let’s just hope he does a good job since he could follow what Vaughn did with First Class, which was a very awesome comic book movie.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for a July 2014 release.

JAMIE FOXX AS THE VILLAIN — ELECTRO

Jamie Foxx as Electro in Amazing Spider-Man

The second news, comes with a bit of ‘shock’ too as Jamie Foxx is rumored to play as Electro in Amazing Spider-Man 2. Regarding Foxx’s inclusion in the cast, DirectorMarc Webb says “I can’t go into it in too much detail, except to say that I think Jamie Foxx is one of our great living actors,” adding that “I think he’s done some pretty exceptional work.”

If Foxx do get the job, it would be quite intersting, VERY interesting. I’m sure a lot of skeptics will rant about this, but let’s just wait and see.  Lastly, if he ever becomes Electro, do you think that this will be a disaster in his career?
