ARROW SDCC Teaser

Fresh off San Diego Comic-Con, CW has released a teaser video for the upcoming season 2 of their hit TV series, Arrow.  Season 2 according to the panel at SDCC would begin as Oliver Queen (Stephen Arnell) had left Starling City after the events of The Undertaking during the first season. Oliver Queen had given up being the vigilante known as “The Hood” as he wasn’t able to save his best friend from the tragedy that has befallen their city. With the Hood gone this creates an opportunity for Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) to step up, and may be take on the mantle of the new vigilante. Would it possible that in Arrow’s season 2 we would finally see the debut of Speedy or possibly Arsenal?

Would we finally see Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) as Speedy or Arsenal in Season 2?

On the second season we would also see Summer Glau (Firefly/Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) play as Isabel Rochev, who is Vice President of Acquisitions for Stellmoor International who is trying to take over Oliver Queen’s company, Queen Consolidated. Also during SDCC it was revealed that Caity Lotz has been cast to play as Green Arrow’s love interest, Black Canary. There were hints that Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) in the first season would eventually be Black Canary as her character was Black Canary in the comic books but it seems that Arrow’s creative team had other plans for her. Other characters revealed during Arrow’s SDCC panel were Michael Jai White (Spawn) would play as Bronze Tiger and Kevin Alejandro (True Blood) as Sebastian Blood.

In the end of the teaser video, Oliver states that he no longer wants to be called “The Hood”. Would it be in season 2 that he starts calling himself The Green Arrow? We only need to wait for a few more months for our questions to be answered as Arrow returns to television in the US by Wednesday, October 9 on The CW.
