ON THE JOB Movie Rights Acquired by HOLLYWOOD!

Local movie, On The Job was recently acquired by Universal Pictures for a Hollywood adaptation. The film about prisoners being hired killers by politicians and military officers was written and directed by Erik Matti that starred Joel Torre, Joey Marquez, Gerald Anderson and Piolo Pascual.

The Hollywood adaptation of On The Job would be written and co-produced and directed by Baltasar Kormakur and produced by Scott Stuber. Baltasar Kormakur’s RVK Studios will also produce alongside Scott Stuber’s Universal-based Bluegrass Films. Partners Nate Bolotin, Nick Spicer and Aram Tertzakian will also produce through XYZ films who handled On The Job worldwide sales when it was released in North America.

On The Job premiered internationally in this year’s Cannes Film Festival in the Director’s Fortnight. On The Job was well received internationally and had great reviews, even film critic site, Rotten Romatoes even gave On the Job a rating of 100%.
