Sin City A Dame To Kill For

Originally scheduled October 4, 2013, Weinstein Co./Dimension Films postponed the release of Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For to August 22, 2014.

An upcoming sequel  to the 2005 film Sin City, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is primarily based on the second book of Miller’s gritty neo-noir comic series Sin City.

A Dame To Kill For tells the story of Nancy Callahan trying to cope with Hartigan’s death and Dwight McCarthy meeting again the former lover who betrayed him, Ava Lord  as they get away from her husband Damien Lord and Manute. It is to be noted that A Dame To Kill For chronologically comes before The Big Fat Kill. Miller even said that this second film will have an open story line and serve as a prequel and sequel to the 2005 movie,which was based on the first, third and fourth books of Miller’s original comic series.

The cast include Josh Brolin, replacing Clive Owen for the role of McCarthy, together with Eva Green, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ray Liotta. The late Michael Duncan will be replaced by Dennis Haysbert for the role of Manute. Other names include Jaime King, Jamie Chung, Rosario Dawson, Christopher Meloni, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven, and Stacy Keach.
