I will always promote this film in my to watch lists, because it’s a masterpiece. Aside from nostalgia, Spirited Away is one of the unforgettable films by Miyazaki and the one that won an Academy Award. Spirited Away is about a 10-year-old girl’s move to the suburbs and wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts. With Studio Ghibli’s whimsical style of animation & visuals, one will definitely enjoy this animated film.
CORALINE
One of Laika Studio’s earliest stop-motion films, Coraline is a 3D stop motion film based on the critically acclaimed author, Neil Gaiman’s children’s novel with the same name published in 2002. Gaiman’s novel won numerous awards. This was a highly anticipated film for book fans like me. Laika did an amazing job bringing the novel to life! It’s definitely haunting and amusing to watch. The tremendous amount of effort that was put into this film makes this worth watching over and over again! For the love of art!
