TRAILER: FIRST LOOK AT THE ROCK AS HERCULES!

The first trailer for DWAYNE “THE ROCK” JOHNSON’s new movie, HERCULES was released today. The movie is based on the comic book of the same title, HERCULES:THE THRACIAN WARS which was written originally by STEVE MOORE, who also recently passed away. Steve Moore was also the one who taught ALAN MOORE on how to write comic books when Alan Moore was still a struggling artist.

Hercules’ official plot synopsis as provided by Paramount/MGM:

“Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend…Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary.  Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies.  But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.”

Hercules is directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men:The Last Stand) and jointly distributed by Paramount Pictures and MGM which stars for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Hercules along with Ian McShane, Reece Ritchie, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Joseph Fiennes, andJohn Hurt. The Rock would also be portraying the roles of Zeus and Achilles in the same movie. Hercules is scheduled for release on July 25, 2014.
