The Wait is Over! STAR WARS EPISODE VII Unveils Official Title!

The galaxy may be far, far away, but that didn’t stop us from our hype at all. With huge cast announcements, filming set on course (which has been recently finished) and so many photos and leaks that kept us asking for what Star Wars Episode VII is, Disney and Lucasfilm proudly present the official title of the next Star Wars Installment, “The Force Awakens.”

Here are the details from their recent press release:

Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have announced today, following the completion of principal photography, that Star Wars: Episode VII is now officially titled “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

The film stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

And with the title revealed, three words could make us guess what the story for the next installment is. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International.
