WATCH: How ‘Rogue One’ Brought Grand Moff Tarkin and Princess Leia Back to the Big Screen

Star Wars is no stranger to “pushing the envelope” for a film’s state of the art special effects. One of the biggest surprises in the newest entry to the expanding universe, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was bringing familiar faces of the original trilogy like Cushing’s Grand Moff Tarkin being a large presence in the film and Fisher’s Princess Leia towards the end.  In Nightline’s video, we the viewers are taken to Industrial Light & Magic’s San Francisco headquarters where chief creative officer John Knoll shows us the painstaking process of bringing these people back to life in the big screen as if they haven’t aged a day. To know more of Lucasfilm’s sorcery, and to get a good look of never-before-seen behind the scene footage watch Nightline’s entire video showing its process.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is still playing in a regular and IMAX theater near you! It may just be your last chance this week.
