WATCH: “Neko Atsume” is Fur Real in its First Ever Movie Trailer!


Yes, you read that headline right! The popular “kitty collector” mobile game by Hit-Point, “Neko Atsume” is getting their own movie this year. The official website for the Neko Atsume no Ie (Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector as its english title)  film, releases its first trailer that headlines, Atsushi Itou (of live-action Densha Otoko) and Shiori Kutsuna (known as Lunafreya from the recent Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV film) as the two stars.  Among its feline cast mates it welcomes additional cast members such as Tomoro Taguchi (Gantz), Tae Kimura (Densha Otoko), and Kayoko Okubo.

“Masaru Sakumoto (Atsushi Itō) is a best selling novelist, but, recently, he has been unable to write. To turn over a new leaf, he moves to a house. Things though do not get better. One day, while Masaru looks at his yard, a cat comes over. Masaru talks to the cat, but the cat leaves. At night, Masaru places dried food out in the yard and falls asleep. The next morning, he finds that the food is gone. Masaru begins interacting with cats that come to his yard.”

This film is directed by Masatoshi Kurakata with Writer, Yuji Nagamori. Neko Atsume no Ie opens in Japan on April 8, 2017!
