“Daredevil” Netflix Series to Start Shooting in July

Looks like Marvel and Netflix aren’t afraid to give the Man Without Fear another chance to shine in the live-action spotlight.

After talking to Marvel television head Jeph Loeb at the Paley Fest panel for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hitflix reports that shooting for the “Daredevil” Netflix series is set to begin in July.

After “Daredevil,” “Jessica Drew,” “Iron Fist,” and “Luke Cage” will get their own solo series, respectively. Each series is 13 episodes long, and will culminate in “Defenders,” billed as an “epic mini-series event” and presumably featuring a team-up of Marvelous proportions.

The pilot episode of “Daredevil” will be written and directed by Drew Goddard. As of press time, an actor has yet to be cast as the blind superhero from Hell’s Kitchen.
