BROWNMAN REVIVAL

Bursting in to the local scene with a reggae cover of Eraserhead’s “Maling Akala”, Brownman Revival has been an instant favorite among local fans. Back in the day of cassette tapes, stereos and walkman’s, Grin Department was among the favorite bands of every 90s kids. Grin Department released catchy, groovy, witty songs which bought laughter and delight to curious, adolescent kids growing up and bought chagrin to the parents/elders of the said kids. THE CHONGKEYS

What’s in a name? The Chongkeys according to their Facebook page got their name from the combination of the word “chong” or also use as “tiyong” is a Filipino slang word for “tito”, which could also mean a call for close friends. While the word “keys” was for their music as it was the “key” for them to form a mix genre band of good music.
