At the Groove Stage, reggae and ska fans can gather, enjoy, dance and groove to the music of the artists performing. BROWNMAN REVIVAL

Bursting in to the local scene with a reggae cover of Eraserhead’s “Maling Akala”, Brownman Revival has been an instant favorite among local fans. Here’s a quick bio of the band from their Facebook Page: “BROWNMAN REVIVAL is made up of the one-drop rocksteady beats of drummer Dennis, the sexy accents from percussionist Januarie, the wicked horn riffs of Andrew on sax, and Alex on trumpet, the grooves of Hiro on bass, the wicked bubbles of Randy on keyboards, capped of by the soulful croon of Benjah on vocals. “

Grin Department released catchy, groovy, witty songs which bought laughter and delight to curious, adolescent kids growing up and bought chagrin to the parents/elders of the said kids. THE CHONGKEYS

What’s in a name? The Chongkeys according to their Facebook page got their name from the combination of the word “chong” or also use as “tiyong” is a Filipino slang word for “tito”, which could also mean a call for close friends. While the word “keys” was for their music as it was the “key” for them to form a mix genre band of good music. Catch the music of Chongkeys as they sing it out on the Groove stage only at Rakrakan Festival: OPM Against Drugs.
