COMIC BOOK REVIEW: Supercrooks # 3

Reviewing Supercrooks # 3 by Mark Millar, Leinil Yu, Gerry Alanguilan and Sunny Gho.

If you were a big fan of Ocean’s Eleven (twelve and thirteen) then this particular issue definitely shows that theme courtesy of Mr. Mark Millar and the rest of the Supercrooks boyband…

In this issue Millar continues to show how awesome he awesome this story has been shaped. Johnny and the rest of his team are getting ready to get the con on. Their target? The Bastard. A retired supervillain who takes no shit from no one and is in everyway superior to The Salamander.

Leinil, Gerry and Sunny provide the massive art in this book that has constantly received good reviews. When we interviewed Mark Millar one weekend ago, he was ecstatic with Yu’s output. Supercrooks # 3 proves the point that the Filipino artist is at his peak and nothing’s gonna stop him now.

One problem with the script in this issue was that long exposition we had to see with regards to the people who screw the Bastard. But maybe its just me. Regardless, these pages have all shown EPICness from Millar and the rest of the boys.

Overall, this has got to be the best book that comes out this week from Icon/ Marvel. Hopefully we get to see how the last scene pans out and how bad (or good) the finale will be in the next few weeks.

Verdict: 5/5
