Creators, Retailers Join Forces to help DeZuñiga on Free Comic Book Day

Get your free comics, buy a sketch and help an ailing legendary Filipino artist.

Comic Odyssey and Comicxhub have agreed to open their doors for a simultaneous sketch drive for Tony DeZuñiga on “Free Comicbook Day,” May 5.

All proceeds of the sketches that  only cost at PhP 300 minimum. For the international artists, their charge is PhP 500 each. All will  be donated to DeZuñiga’s medical costs. The wife of the co-creator of Jonah Hex informed Flipgeeks that they spend P40,000 a day for medicines and hospital bills. Tina DeZuñiga said her husband has remained unconscious since suffering a mild stroke two weeks ago.

Creators lending a hand on the sketch drive at Comicxhub are the contributors of the free “Komiks All-Star.”  The shop is located at the third floor of Bloomingdale Plaza in Shaw Boulevard, Pasig City, a jeepney ride from Shaw MRT station.
