Geoff Johns Announces Departure from Green Lantern

Geoff Johns has announced his departure from Green Lantern after Green Lantern # 20.

Johns has been writing the adventures of Hal Jordan and the rest of the Green Lanterns starting with 2004’s Green Lantern: Rebirth which returned Hal back into the fold.

Johns was also responsible for massive storylines such as Blackest Night and Sinestro Corps War. Johns was quoted once saying that he’ll be leaving the book after Blackest Night but that never happened. News confirms however that Johns will be staying for the two Justice League books that he’s writing (Justice League and Justice League of America) as well as Aquaman.
