GLEE Gets More Fame At BLUEWATER

Official Press Release

Clearly Glee has taken over the world and fans can’t get enough of the Fox musical comedy that pushes the bounds of humor and tolerance all from a positive perspective and it appears readers couldn’t get enough of Bluewater Comics’ bio-comic “Fame: Glee.” To meet the demand for more “Glee,” Bluewater Comics is proud to announce “Fame: Glee 2.” From Diana Argron, Darren Criss, Naya Rivera and fan favorite Heather Morris, Fame takes a look at how all of these men and women became part of a global phenomenon

“Fame: Glee 2” is written by Tara Broekell (author of “Female Force: Ruth Handler Creator of Barbie”) and the art has been handle by artist V. Kenneth Marion, with cover by Joe Phillips, is due out in October 2011.

Broekell said what she appreciates about “Glee” is how the show is used as a platform to show that anyone has something to contribute to the world. “When (Darren Davis, president of Bluewater Comics) approached me about writing the sequel to the Glee bio, I was incredibly excited because I am such a fan of the show, but it really encouraged me to consider the show in a different light,” said Broekell. “This is an entertaining show with tear-jerking dramatic moments and great comedy, and yes, its also breaking down stereotypes.”

Marion agreed. He said the fun for him was testing his artistic abilities and bringing out his best. “”It is phenomenal how well received the first volume of Glee was. I am honored to be taking over Penciling duties for Glee 2. The cast is diverse, which made the project challenging, but quite fun to draw,” said Marion.

Davis said he wanted two creators who could reflect the sentiments and fun that is an episode of “Glee.”

“After the first Fame: Glee bio sold out, we knew we had to do another,” said Davis. “I have been impressed with Tara’s writing and V. Ken’s art and I think both make an amazing creative team and the television show ‘Glee’ is about acceptance and having fun and both of them captured the spirit and I think any of our readers will see that.”
