GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: A Guide to AWESOME MIX Vol. 1 and 2

Apart from the action packed intergalactic fight scenes and witty exchanges, Guardians of the Galaxy had stolen the hearts of many; from children to adults alike. What made this movie a million dollar box office hit? Music, of course! Marvel takes us back to the retro lights and sounds of ‘70’s. If you’re itching for your own mixed tape of Star Lord’s Awesome Mix Vol. 1 and 2 here’s a treat for you!

1.    Redbone – Come and Get Your Love
2.    Blue Swede – Hooked on a FeelingStar Lord's Awesome Mix Vol. 1
3.    Elvin Bishop – Fooled Around and Fell in Love
4.    Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell – Ain’t No Mountain High Enough
5.    Rupert Holmes – Escape (The Pina Colada Song)
6.    David Bowie – Moonage Daydream
7.    Raspberries – Go All the Way
8.    Norman Greenbaum – Spirit in the Sky
9.    Jackson 5 – I Want You Back
10. 10CC – I’m Not in Love
11.  The Runaways – Cherry Bomb
12.  The Five Stairsteps – O-O-H Child

Whether you need you need your own background music, nothing can go wrong with Blue Swede’s “Hooked on a Feeling”;  you’ll find yourself fleeting with a happy note with each beat. If you want to go a bit softer but still upbeat, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell is a must heard. Although, I think personally every song in the soundtrack is a total eargasm. Let’s relive the era of iconic songs and better lyrics!
