What was your favorite comic of 2013?
AJ: Fave comic of 2013 — recently caught up on all issues of Locke and Key. I read the first issue back when it first came out, but somehow wasn’t that into it at the time.

Fave indie komik of 2013 — finally caught up with Mike David’s Kubori Kikiam Omnibus, and discovered Mika Bacani’s Tea Quiero and  Other Bad Puns — both of which I bought at last December’s BLTXIV.

Noel: Manhattan Projects ni Jonathan Hickman

What was the best achievement that you reached in 2013?
AJ:  Winning the Summer Komikon 2013 Indie Tiangge Best Seller. The free exhibitor table at the November Kon encouraged us to finally finish CFCCA (Crime-Fighting Call Center Agents) #4. Considering how swamped with work I was at the time, was indeed an achievment unto itself.

Noel: Releasing Crime-Fighting Call Center Agents #4, finishing a movie screenplay and starting work on an online cartoon series with Josel Nicolas and Mervin Malonzo called Manila Underground

What are your comic book-related projects that are coming out in 2014?
AJ: 2014 comic projects — aside from CFCCA #5 and #6, I’ll be working on the epilogue to Adam Cadre’s Evil Creatures webcomic. Pleasantly surprised by the level of Adam’s writing, I’ve been contacting him ever since I discovered the webcomic back in 2012.

Noel:
-Crime-Fighting Call Center Agents with AJ Bernardo
-Makina with Mervin Malonzo
-Manifesto with Mike Banting
-Adik with Patrick Rawwr Enrique
-Manila Underground with Mervin Malonzo and Josel Nicolas
