New Female Symbiote Character To Debut in Venom! Plus: A Short Recap On She-Venoms
Revealed in Marvel’s September Solicitations is a new Symbiote powered Character called Mania who is set to debut in Venom #40 by Cullen Bunn and Jorge Coelho.
It’s been awhile since we’ve had a Woman possessed by the alien suit, though she isn’t the first, original Venom Eddie Brock had an ex-wife who wore the suit twice before committing suicide (yikes) after killing a few dudes. Not exactly Elektra….
While not completely symbiote powered Shriek was a character who debuted during Maximum Carnage and was madly in love with Carnage. She be crazy ya’ll. She had a symbiote arm for a while, but it went to our next entrant.
Scorn first appeared in the Carnage mini-series by Zeb Wells and Clayton Crain. First being taken over by the Carnage suit and then getting Shriek’s venom arm, she then BEAT THE LIVING CRAP out of Shriek leaving her in a coma. This girl is FIERCE you guys.
Not much else aside from that. In the M2 universe Spider-Girl was briefly in the Venom suit and Ms. Marvel (now a Captain with a better costume) was briefly taken by Mac Gargan Venom (Venorpion as Peter Parker used to say “sniff sniff”) during the Siege: Spider-Man one shot.
