Robert Vendetti Says No to GL John Stewart Killing
New Green Lantern Corps and Red Lantern writer Robert Venditti has promised that the plot he is working on for the books will not include anything remotely related to the death of Green Lantern John Stewart.
The interesting bit, as pointed out in CBR’s coverage of the story, is the fact that while Venditti promises that there won’t be any murder happening on his run, the editorial edict to kill off GL Stewart was never mentioned. A tricky wordplay if you ask me. The news of the proposed ‘offing’ of the most prominent black superhero from DC first broke into the scene with the announcement of the departure of supposed GLC writer Joshua Hale Fialkov.
