Smallville Returns for Season 11 in Comics Form

WB’s Smallville will be returning albeit in comic book form for the 11th season.

And just like that we have a new Smallville book which tell the story of Clark Kent 6 months after the climatic ending of season 10 wherein our hero saved the world from Apokolips.

The new book will be first available digitally and will then be compiled to form a trade paperback.

Here’s what DC had to say about this bold move.

“Six months after Clark Kent donned the cape and took to the skies to save Earth from Apokolips… enter Season 11!” explains Miller. “New allies abound! New enemies afoot! And old friends return where they’re least expected! Pere and colorist Chris Beckett have done a fantastic job of capturing the look of the show and the players, and Gary and Cat are knocking it out of the park on covers. I couldn’t be more excited to help give seasoned viewers and new readers an all-access pass to Clark’s first year in the cape.”

The books will be written by Smallville writer Bryan Q Miller with art by Pere Perez and covers by Gary Frank (of Batman Earth One). The digital copy will be released on April 13, 2012.
