Over a month ago at this year’s Cinemacon in Las Vegas, Walt Disney Pictures revealed the entire slate of their films for the next 2 years. The slate ranges from their very own animated features and to their live-action projects by various properties and re-makes of classic films. Although now a few adjustments has been made after a few other new films having known dates.

Colin Trevorrow’s “Star Wars Episode IX” is going to be released on May 24, 2019. Although we have yet to see what is the fate of the Jedi along with its large case of characters in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi film later this year at least we know that we’re not gonna wait that long to see what happens in its finality for the latest revival.

It was also announced that the yet to be titled Lord and Miller directed Han Solo anthology film will be released on May 25, 2018. The movie stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young space smuggler, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian along with a new cast of characters; Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson and Michael Kenneth Williams.

A tweet by Kristen Bell, the voice of none other than Princess Anna herself, gave us the latest “weather forecast” of the much awaited Frozen sequel hitting in theaters November 27, 2019. Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are set to return along with stars Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel. If you think you were free from another hit song taking over… Everywhere again, you were wrong.

Indiana Jones 5 was originally set to release 19 July 2019 but now pushed back to a July 10, 2020 release date. Ford is expected to reprise the role (one last time?) while Spielberg is said to return and direct the said film.

Former Iron Man Helmer, Jon Favreu is set to make another hit with another talented cast of animals with the Disney Classic, The Lion King. Said to follow up after the billion dollar hit, Beauty and the Beast and the upcoming Mulan remake next year; The Lion King stars Donald Glover as Simba and James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Mufasa. Recent developments also had new additions to the cast being Parks and Rec alum Billy Eichner and Comedian Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa. This is set for a July 19, 2019 release.

Lastly, the largest spike in the calendar has to be the animated Jack and the Beanstalk adaptation. Gigantic which shifts from  Nov. 21, 2018, to Nov. 25, 2020. As well, the “Wreck-It Ralph” sequel “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” — slides back from March 9 to Nov. 21, 2018.

And that’s about it! Lots of big news Disney wise today, which one are you most excited for?
