The Russo Brothers to Produce DEADLY CLASS TV Adaptation

3587483-deadly+class+01A TV adaptation of the Image Comics series Deadly Class has reportedly been confirmed to be underway, with Captain America: Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo to serve as producers.

According to Deadline, the Sony Pictures TV adaptation is written by series co-creator/writer Rick Remender and Miles Feldsott, and will be coming to cable networks and streaming services. Adam Targum (Banshee) is set to be the series showrunner.

Created by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, Deadly Class was launched in 2014. The series follows Marcus Lopez in a unique coming-of-age story set in the late ’80s at King’s Dominion High School for the Deadly Arts where the top crime families send their children to be trained as the next generation of assassins.

Fresh from directing Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, Joe and Anthony Russo are directing the upcoming two-part The Avengers: Infinity War next. The Russo brothers have also served as executive producers to the TV series Community and won an Emmy for their work in Arrested Development.
