SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 4 Debuts In RP


After months of anticipation, Pinoys join the world in welcoming the newest member of Samsung’s ever expanding roster of mobile units – the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

First unboxed in September during the IFA Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin, Germany, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was officially launched in South Korea, followed by the UK, India, Singapore, Thailand, the US, Canada, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. It will also be made available in South America and other countries sometime in November.

The said device was formally unboxed during a launching event last week at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium, with pre-registered customers getting first dibs at Samsung’s latest offering.

The Note 4 comes with these specifications:

  • Samsung Exynos Octa processor (1.9GHz quad-core processor + 1.3GHz quad-core processor)/2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor
  • Mali-T760/ Adreno 420 GPU
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2560 x 1440 resolution
  • 32GB of storage, expandable via microSD
  • 16-megapixel rear camera with AF and Smart OIS
  • 3.7-megapixel front camera with f1.9 lens
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, A-GPS
  • 3G, LTE
  • Android 4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz UI
  • 3200mAh battery

During the kick-off sale, pre-registered buyers of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 were given as much as P8,000 discount while all walk-in buyers between 10 a.m. to noon got P4,000 unit discounts.

On top of the unit discounts, buyers during the launch and those who will be purchasing their Samsung Galaxy Note 4 today will enjoy a two-year extended warranty, three months free access to unlimited downloads of all Summit magazines through MZINE, free download of one full season of any TV show on Seasons, free 100 movies on ClickPlay and zero interest (18 months installment) when using any BPI or Citibank credit card.

Available in black or white, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 starts at P37,990.
